Miriam has spent more than 25 years working for a number of leading investment banks and other financial institutions. In 2013 she established, SPARK Advisory Partners, a new independent corporate advisory business. Miriam is a Non-Executive Director at several investment trusts, including Henderson Global Trust plc and Mithras Investment Trust plc, and energy bodies. She is currently Chair of the Gas Network Innovation Expert Panel at OFGEM. A Deputy Lieutenant of the City of Edinburgh, Miriam was awarded an OBE for services to corporate finance in 2000.
